With the latest iPhones and iPods supporting image and video playback, one of the obvious uses in the home (as well as making phone calls, and music playback etc.) is as an audio or video source for playback on your main TV. The standard way of doing this is by purchasing the Apple dedicated Composite AV Cable, which as the name suggests provides the required video output cables and also includes a USB power connector. Konnet has gone one better on this bundle with the addition of a snazzy dock.

The Konnet ReflexDock Pro dock itself is made in a matt black rubberised compound that will happily fit the majority of iPhones and iPods with cases or without. The flexibility of the dock allows for even the thickest cases to be fitted, and even the Ipad will fit and is supported comfortably. At the rear of the unit are the ports for connecting the microUSB cable for charging or conection to a computer and also the jack for connecting the AV cables. Underneath the dock are three rubberised feet that prevent the dock scratching surfaces. The included cables are excellent quality and are gold plated.
The use of a dock really helps tidy up deskspace and is far more aesthetically pleasing when integrated into a media center for playback on larger TVs. The Konnet ReflexDock Pro is well made and provides a safe place to store, charge and protect your Apple device wherever you want to provide media playback, whether streamed using Airplay or played back directly from the device.
~£40 (at the time of writing).
4/5 Let's be honest, the ReflexDock Pro isn't cheap, however neither are standard composite AV cables from Apple (~£30 currently) and for £10 extra the dock isn't a massive outlay. The dock itself provides a neat way of reducing the clutter on your desk or around your TV and in our opinion is well made and due to the design even allows iPhones and iPods to be docked without even removing their cases making it ideal for virtually any user.
