Replacing or upgrading the standard power supply that comes with your laptop or notebook, whether necessary due to failure or in order to extend the use in two different locations can often be a minefield (either due to cost or finding a suitable replacement). Various universal chargers are available but it is worth having a lot around before you decide as there are some innovative new chargers that can allow you to continue use of your laptop and often other small peripherals in a range of environments (flights, cars etc.) as well as just from a standard power socket

The Cooler Master USNA 120W (as the name suggests!) is a high power laptop universal power adaptor, able to charge the majority of mainstream laptops and notebooks and is effectively the big brother to the USNA 95W (reviewed previously). The block of the charger is fairly chunky and is made from tough plastic (similar to other chargers) housing a smart LED indicator that indicates the current charging state (green for laptop charging and red for peripheral charging). The USNA 120W comes with a set of 10 different charging tips that suits all of the mainstream laptop manufacturers (Acer, Asus, HP, Compaq, Samsung, Sony, Dell, Toshiba, MSI, Fujitsu, and Gateway) and even if your laptop manufacturer isn't included it is entirely possible to obtain one for free directly from the Cooler Master support team. The charger outputs 19Vdc, whcih can in many cases provide faster charging than OEM chargers, has up to 90% efficiency (laptop dependent) and has a number of inbuilt fail-safes to prevent damage to any laptop in the event of power surges or fluctuations (OVP, OTC, OCP, OPP amd SCP).
In addition to charging laptops the Cooler Master has two USB ports that can provide up to 2A charging power for peripheral devices such as smartphones, mobiles, MP3 players and tablets. These ports can charge any USB charged devices between 30-50% faster than a PC USB port can.
Since the USNA 120W is a high power output charger it is probably bigger than the average OEM device, however in our opinion it easily makes up for this with the ability to charge two additional devices without having to drain or power up your laptop specifically for the purpose and the ghier power output means it is capable of charging virtually any laptop including the hungry desktop replacement varieties!
4/5 - Although the Cooler Master USNA 120W is relatively large it easily makes up for this with the ability to charge up two additional devices through the two USB ports on the power pack. If you are one of the new breed of tablets users this could prove invaluable when you want to charge up everything at the same time.
