Many of us these days work in a mixed PC/Mac work environment in order to utilise both operating systems and their abilities, however file sharing between the two file systems is generally restricted to the use of USB mass storage devices utilising FAT32 file systems which limits file sizes and the possibility of using existing NTFS formatted drives with a Mac.
Paragon have released Paragon NTFS for Mac® OS X 7.0 to remedy this and the software really does what it says, allowing NTFS partitions to be easily mounted through a simple to use interface, which in turn allows full access to files on the drive.
Importantly this software improves over others by giving full speed access to the NTFS partitions through Mac OS X, giving transfer speeds similar to those obtained with the native HFS file system, something that similar softwares cannot compete on. NTFS partitions can also be created and repaired easily using the "Format" and "Check" utilities.
Also included is a utility called "MacBrowser" that allows users to fully manipulate files on Mac disks via a special folder in Windows.
These functions make Paragon NTFS for Mac® OS X 7.0 perfect for dualboot Mac systems which need easy access to both types of file system and sharing of one partition using either the NTFS or HFS file structure.
If you do work in mixed PC/Mac environment or utilise a dualboot Mac system, Paragon NTFS for Mac® OS X 7.0 is a perfect way to achieve efficient use of your file storage, allowing access to files in either type of partition. Whichever partitions are used, both operating systems are given, through the use of the software, full editing and also even simple drive management capabilities.
