System Management: Uniblue DriverScanner and PowerSuite 2010

Recently we reviewed the Uniblue's latest release of RegistryBooster and SpeedUpMyPC which we found to be great little tools for keeping your system tuned up and ready to go.  With our latest review we are covering the latest release of DriverScanner 2010, the last of the applications that forms Uniblue PowerSuite.

As the name suggests DriverScanner 2010 scans your system for outdated drivers and then finds the updated drivers to install in their place, all at the click of a button.  Before DriverScanner updates the drives it automatically makes a system restore point (so that changes can be rolled back) and then installs the new drivers.  In our tests it happily found and updated our Intel network drivers, on one of the old Dell D420 laptops we use, without any fuss.

The software covers every aspect of a desktop or laptop system making PC maintenance a doddle.  In conjunction with the other applications, RegistryBooster and SpeedUpMyPC the applications form the Uniblue PowerSuite that based on our previous experiences will provide the basis for a healthy operating system and therefore healthy PC.  The Powersuite interface itself offers complete control over the individual programs, without the need to open them all separately, and allows for scheduling for each individual type of scan.

The combination of the three components of the Uniblue PowerSuite provide the simplest way possible to keep any PC up to date with the minimum of fuss.  Priced at ~£15 (at the time of writing) it provides a very cheap and powerful option for any beginner.
