DivX, Inc. (NASDAQ:DIVX), a leading digital media company, today announced at IPTV World Forum 2010 that the native ST Media Player on STMicroelectronics' STi7105 will be DivX Certified. The STi7105 from STMicroelectronics, one of the world's leading suppliers of silicon solutions for set-top boxes, will offer a turnkey solution for set-top box suppliers and operators to support playback of digital video and Hollywood movies in the DivX® format.
The STi7105 delivers competitive performance advantages for all set-top box markets, including basic zapper boxes, digital video recorders and media-server devices. By supporting the latest high-definition standards, as well as standard-definition formats such as AVS, the STi7105 delivers a compelling, high-performance solution for products deployed in all geographic regions.
