SPB Software, a leading mobile software developer today  announced a significant update to its best-selling highly customizable 3D mobile user interface (UI) - SPB Mobile Shell 3.7 for Symbian.

Launched in 2010, SPB Mobile Shell for Symbian achieved the number one best selling position world-wide one day after its initial release and has already been recognized in the Nokia Calling All innovators Awards and the Smaato Mobile Advertising Award for the Symbian category.

In addition to previously supported devices the new release presents the support for all devices based on Symbian^3, such as Nokia N8 and upcoming, Nokia E7, Nokia C7 and C6-01. Since Nokia users have finally a chance to upgrade their mobile devices to N8 they also receive an opportunity to download the best-in-class user interface on it. The latest version of SPB Mobile Shell will help to enrich the user experience and to make the devices even more personalized and easy to manipulate.

With the new version Nokia users can also receive the support of Nokia home screen widgets and reach all of the frequently used and favorite programs and services right from their home screen. SPB Software has taken consumer feedback from earlier versions of Mobile Shell for Symbian into consideration and created the update of its UI in a full-screen view. The contact dialog has also been improved making it faster and easier to locate and get in touch with the chosen contact.

"We are proud of the successful launch of our flagship solution for Symbian OS and we will continue doing our best to allow users to enjoy the look and feel of their handsets. Unlike the recently released SPB Mobile Shell 5.0 version for mobile operators and manufacturers SPB Mobile Shell 3.7 becomes the update of the version for end-users," said Sebastian-Justus Schmidt, CEO of SPB Software. "We are glad to announce that we have expanded the number of the supported Symbian devices including the newest N8 device. Now the owners of N8 can also enjoy the most convenient, fast and easy to manipulate user interface with great personalization opportunities."
